| True Union Ball Valves have been designed to be easy to service and repair. The valve can be overhauled without disconnecting the system piping connections. | To remove the valve body simply unscrew the two assembly nuts. | The valve body lifts out…ready for disassembly. The system piping connections are not disturbed. Inspect the two end connector o-rings on the valve body for damage as well as the sealing surface of the end connectors. | The valve seal retainer can be removed with a spanner wrench, a seal retainer tool available from FDPP or, more commonly, by using screwdrivers to turn the retainer out of the valve body as shown |

While the valve is disassembled it’s always good practice to replace the seats and all o-rings no matter what their condition. | That’s all there is to it. Reverse the procedure to re-assemble the valve and put it back into service. |
