Model TL Filter Housings are the most sophisticated filter housing design that we offer.  Although all filter housings are designed to filter to relatively small particles (from fractional to 800 microns) there are differences in the way the filter bags or cartridges seal within the strainer. 

The side inlet directs the flow up and into the chamber lid, "pouring" the fluid into the filter bag.  The filter bag is supported via a mesh basket to prevent heavy, overfilled filter bags from breaking.  This style provides the best ability to create a zero-bypass seal because in addition to the o-ring seal in the lid, we offer filter bags that have a built-in crush seal to ensure zero-bypass.  In short, critical applications in the food processing, pharmaceutical and chemical manufacturing industries rely on the TL design to remove all the target particles.

Another advantage of the TL design is the accessibility of the filter bag.  Our filter bags with integrated handle are easily grabbed without having to reach into the fluid or drain it from the housing.  All TL filter housings come with ASME code UM stamp and have a smooth bead-blasted finish for easy cleaning.  These filter housing only have two weld locations, which makes them even easier to clean.

Model SL Filter Housings are high quality vessels constructed with an investment-cast body and just two welds.  The hinged chamber covers can be re-oriented to adapt to your particular piping layout and accommodate obstructions such as walls and columns.  The filter bag support basket is positively seated to the filter housing via compression of the specially made basket handle.  This feature ensures 360° sealing of the filter bag holder to the housing.

Although these are made of 316SS, providing excellent resistance to corrosion, their cost is competitive with similar units made of carbon steel because of the investment-cast body.  The smooth bead blasted finish and minimal welds ensures easy cleaning inside and out.

Model FL Filter Housings are high quality vessels constructed with an investment-cast swing bolt chamber cover.  The hinged chamber covers can be re-oriented to adapt to your particular piping layout and accommodate obstructions such as walls and columns.  The filter bag support basket is positively seated to the filter housing via compression of the specially made basket handle.  This feature ensures 360° sealing of the filter bag holder to the housing.

The convex underside of the chamber cover displaces fluid within the housing, so that when the cover is open the liquid volume within the vessel is below the o-ring seal.  This minimizes the chance of spill over with changing bags.

The unique cover is designed to be removable by hand - no tools required!  Chamber covers include all plastic vent valve and 1/4" pressure gauge tap.  Each housing has outlets on the bottom and bottom-side.  This provides built-in flexibility to duplexing units together or installing a housing in a loop configuration.
